Oscar Wardell Dixon III
Oscar Wardell Dixon III was born on August 2, 1954 to the late Orlando & Loretta Mulkey in Fort Myers, Florida. Oscar was united in holy matrimony to Helen Dixon on March 6, 2009. Oscar was a member of the United States Marine Corps. He entered as active duty on April 18, 1972, to October 17, 1975. While serving his time in the Marine Corps. He received the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Rifle Sharp Shooters Badge. After serving his time in the Marine Corp, Oscar began to work several years as a truck driver after leaving the United States Marine Corps, until he retired. Oscar attended church as much as he could, under the leadership of Apostle Bell. Most of all, if anyone knew Oscar. He was known for having one of the funniest outburst laugh that could be heard for miles. On Sunday, April 25, 2021, after living a long and blessed life his “Heavenly Father” called him home where he will spend eternal life.
Preceding him in death are his parents Orlando & Loretta Mulkey, son Hakeem Dixon, and his granddaughter Johnesha Gadson. Oscar Wardell Dixon III leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Helen Dixon. His children, Makina Wilkerson (Joseph) of Fort Myers, FL, Orlando Dixon (Nicola), Joyrena Dixon, Emmanuel Dixon (Chantelle) of Moore Haven, FL, Jamal Dixon (Prisicella) of Port Labelle, FL. Brother: Orlando McCall of Fort Myers, FL.
Aunts: Latha Murphy-Speed of Lakeland, FL and Betty Council of Valdosta, Georgia Grandchildren: Antavia Harris, Antonius Harris, Taiomi Dixon, Jomauria Wilkerson, Joryah Wilkerson, Jay’quon Dixon, Jeniya Dixon, Jaden Dixon, Joseph Wilkerson, Makiyah James, Emperiz Wilkerson, Ariana Dixon, Emmerie Dixon, and Majesty Dixon. Great Grandchildren: Antonius Harris Jr., Alonni Harris, Kinslee Lawrence, and Joshua Sims III. Brother-in-laws: Dennis Washington of Moore Haven, FL, Sipeoy Washington (Darlene) of New York, FL, and Lawerence Washington (Phyllis) of Orlando, FL. Sister-in- laws: Joann Odom of New York, Francine Johnson, Diane Croskey, and Melody Parker of Moore Haven, Fl, and Peggy Washington of Wilmington, NC. Godchild, Tekeria Hallback of Moore Haven, Fl. Godsister, Inez Hunter Bestfriend: Anthony “Too Soon” Braham of Moore Haven, FL and a special friend Bobby Newsome of Moore Haven, Fl. He leaves to cherish a host of Cousins, Nephews, Niece, and Friends.
