The Life of Raymond “PaPa” Raymond grew up under the directions of his grandfather and grandmother. His grandfather instilled in him the importance of working hard. Raymond love to work and then he was determined to seek a wife. He started a family with Pearlie Calhoun. His life was built around his wife and children. Raymond took his wife and three children and moved to Belle Glade, Florida in the late 1964. Later on they would have two more children. Raymond loved children, so him and his wife took in a 3 month old baby and raised him as his own. Every where they travel the child would travel. He provided for that child like he did his own.
Raymond wanted to provide for his family so they would have the best. Raymond and his family went out to the bean and sod field over the years, and he instilled hard work into his children.
There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. Raymond saved so he could purchase a home for his wife and children and was able to buy his first home in Vaughn Circle.
On Christmas, he would make sure all his kids had bicycles, skates, and baby alive. Raymond would make sure every morning his children would have lunch money on the table.
Raymond went on to joined Church of Christ and he got Baptized. He would start his Journey to work for the Lord. Raymond would play the guitar for the Church. He would spread the word of how he loved the Lord, No one was a stranger to Raymond.
Raymond would always go fishing, traveling, with his wife and kids, His every word was Jesus and his family.
Raymond was a person who spoke about truth, justice and doing what is right. He was a strong minded person who stuck to his word. Once he put his mind to something he would do it, until it was completed.
Raymond was a great husband and the best father anyone could wish for.
He will be greatly missed and that void would not and cannot ever be filled. He was a man of many hats.
He is now Resting in the Lord
