Tavonda Jenae Tarver of Belle Glade, FL, just 45 years old, passed away after a continuous fight with Cancer on Sept 26, 2021. She spent her last days surrounded by the ones she loved as she spent her life. Tavonda’s light shinned bright, and her infectious and lovable spirt will forever be missed. She was born in Belle Glade, FL on June 8, 1976. The first child of Valerie Hanford and only daughter of James Wimberly. Amongst her aunts and uncles, Tavonda was the first grandchild raised by her grandmother Cora Bell Hanford. She graduated from Glades Central High School in 1994 and attended Florida Memorial College thereafter. At the age of ten, her brother was born, Antoine Glover. She instantly became not only a big sister, but a mothering figure as well. Tavonda met her husband in Belle Glade, FL and instantly knew he was who she would love. She loved and helped raise her stepchildren, Cressida Browning, Dannisha Tarver, Danny Tarver Jr, and eventually extended that family to have three children of her own, Dan’Quavious Tarver, Dan’Yale Tarver, and Dan’Quan Tarver. Her family became her motivation and sole purpose for all of her endeavers; including fighting cancer. In 2005, Tavonda faced her first fight with cancer. Defeating the odds and fighting for years to ensure she got to see her kids grow into amazing young adults. TaVonda, better known as Vonda, was a free spirit who lived by her own rules. To know Vonda is to love her. She brought laughter and life when she came in the room. Always remaining true to herself and unapologetic of who she was. Nonetheless, behind her strong, tough, unbreakable, “tell it like it is” fighting spirit, was a thoughtful and sensitive woman who loved without limits or conditions. Vonda was the life of the party. To her rhythmless two step, tone def singing, and beautiful smile, she was the glue that kept the family laughing together. Physically she is gone, but she left behind so many great memories. Memories that were full honest conversations, comfort, love, and laughter. Share those memeories when you think of her, and her spirit will always remain in our hearts. Her memory is preceded by her three children Dan Quavious Tarver, Dan’ Yale Tarver, Dan’ Quan Tarver. Her loving husband of 23 years Danny Tarver. Her mother Valerie Hanford, and father James Wimberly. Her Brother Antoine Glover (Rosamalia). Her nephew Tahj Glover. Her nieces Ayana Glover and Ava Glover, and a host of other nieces and nephews. Uncles and aunts; Billy Hanford (Heidi), Tim Hanford (Andrea), Ralph Hanford (Mary), William Hanford (Leticia), Willie Scott (May). Vanessa King (Sam), Olivia Butts, Lawanner Jackson. A vast number of cousins whom she loved dearly. Her brother-in-laws; Antavious Tarver (Alicia), Samuel R. Cato (Jolanda). Her Sister in-law Lakesha Cato. Her stepchildren; Cressida Browning (Lester), Dannisha Tarver (Tanorris), and Danny Tarver JR. Her Grandchildren; Les’ Shayla Browning, Ta’Niyah Rogers, Tannorrius Rogers, and Ta’Nylah Rogers. Friends who became family; Jonique Bennett Bryant, Catrice Donardson, and Julia Berrick.
