Two of the sweetest friends I've ever had. For 40 years we enjoyed times in The Lord and sweet fellowship. God bless the family and church family with comfort and strength.

All the years Rev. & First Lady Bland loved & shared love- Beautiful. Then GOD called them to their eternal home together -still, Beautiful. Family let the peace of GOD comfort you & keep you standing today & all the days to come. In JESUS Name Amen 🙏🏾

Profound sympathy to the family and all who have been impacted by the loss of First Lady Bland and her husband Rev. Bland. Unfortunately, I didn't know either of them but I had heard Rev. Bland a couple times. Certainly this great man of God delivered and taught - full of wisdom and knowledge, and brief , he captured my attention! I was looking forward to hearing him speak again. But our God, in his infinite wisdom, called him and his bride home to rest from their labor. Behind every good man is a phenomenal woman! Servants of God , enter into the Master's house knowing that your labor was not in vain. We are a better people simply because you passed this way. To God be the glory for the great things that you have done and continue to do.

Lord, how we loved to hear him preach. One of the most impactful ministries I know. I remember Rev Joseph Toliver inviting him to preach for our Revival here at Zion Chance, Va. and what a wonderful time we had. Our sincere condolences to the family and to Salem Baptist Church. God has done an amazing thing. He called them both so they can celebrate their job that was well done together and forever with him. They will never be alone or forgotten. May God's grace, love, and comfort be upon each of you during this difficult time.
