Charles Webster, Sr.
On Saturday, August 29, 2026 our beloved Charles Webster, Sr., was called from labor to reward.
Charles was born on August 8, 1947 to the late Clinton and Helen Webster. One grandson, Dwight Eric Tucker preceded him in death.
In his earlier years, Charles joined the United States Army. After completing the Army, he returned home and became self-employed. Charles held down several jobs, licensed contractor, master electrician, plumber and lock smith. He owned and operated his own truck business.
Charles even was a bus driver. He was a jack of all trades; he would help anyone that he could.
Even when Charles was busy, he never let it interfere with his walk with the Lord. Charles was a faithful and dedicated member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, Virginia. He served as the chairman of the Trustee Board and was also on the Cemetery Committee.
In 1973, Charles married his true love, Derperdine. They shared a love that was unbreakable, a love like none other. They were never too busy to have family time with their children, for this was important.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Derperdine of 53 years; three children, Anthony Hayes of Chase City, Virginia, Dwight E. Tucker (Dorothy) of Red Oak, Virginia, Charles, Jr. (Almanique) of Keysville, Virginia; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren;
three sisters, Marilyn Johnson of Chase City, Virginia, Martha Webster of Miami, Florida, Caryl Harris of LaCrosse, Vrginia; two sisters-in-law, Marie Jenkins, Robbie O. Tucker both of Skipwith, Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Irven Lee Tucker, Harvey Jenkins both of Skipwith, Virginia; two aunts, Marjorie Meigs of Chase City, Virginia, Maggie Peaks (Ralph) of Irvington,
New Jersey; one uncle, Mervin Gooch of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We will always remember Charles as a remarkable and caring man. One that was blessed with many talents.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dennis King, Pastor will deliver the eulogy.
