Delores R. Hayes, also known as Dump and
Peaches, daughter of Elizabeth A. Marrow was
born on July 31, 1965 in Mecklenburg County,
Virginia and departed this life on Sunday, May 21,
2023 at her residence.
At an early age, Delores accepted Christ as her
personal Savior, was baptized and joined the St. Luke
Baptist Church.
She was employed at Russell Stover Candies of
Clarksville, Virginia for 191⁄2 years and then later
became employed at the Occoneechee State Park of
Clarksville, Virginia where she worked for 131⁄2
years.
On April 12, 2009, she was joined in holy
matrimony to Ronald Hayes. She was a loving and
caring person who always liked to help people. She
was an amazing wife and mother. Among her favorite
pastimes, her hobbies were fishing, gardening and
couponing.
She leaves to cherish in her memories, a loving
and devoted husband (Honey) of 14 years; one
daughter, Latoya Michele Richardson; her mother,
Elizabeth Marrow of Clarksville, Virginia; one
brother, Darrell Robertson of Clarksville, Virginia;two aunts, Lorraine Clark (Charles) of Clarksville,
Virginia and Dorothy A. Stroble (Frank) of Chase City,
Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Greene of Florida,Clara Sands and Cynthia Staten (Buck), both of Chase City, Virginia; three brothers-in-law, Bill Hayes and Anthony Hayes (Faye), both of Chase City, Virginia and William Hayes (Rosa) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends; Lin Jennings, Phyllis Winn, Betty Crump and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law,
Ruth Hayes.

Delores was definitely a kind and caring person. I always enjoyed our conversation time and I can still see that special smile she had. Our prayers are with the family.
