ESTHER K. TUCKER BASS AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS SISTER DEPARTED HER EARTHLY HOME ON AUGUST 24, 2024 AT HER RESIDENCE IN CLINTON, N. C. SISTER WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 19, 1955 TO THE LATE OBIE TUCKER SR. AND ESPERNEAL WILLIAMS TUCKER. A GRADUATE OF BLUESTONE HIGH SCHOOL SKIPWITH, VA. SISTER DURING HER LIFETIME WORKED ON VARIOUS JOBS, SHE RETIRED FROM WALMART AFTER 25 YRS. OF SERVICE. SISTER WAS BAPTIZED AT AN EARLY AGE AND JOINED THE ROCKY MOUNT BAPTIST CHURCH, SHE ATTENDED CHURCH REGULARLY, WAS A MEMBER OF THE YOUNG ADULT CHOIR AND DIRECTOR OF THE JUNIOR CHOIR FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS BEFORE CHANGING HER RESIDENCE TO CLINTON, N.C. WHERE SHE QUICKLY MADE A LOT OF FRIENDS DUE TO HER FAITHFUL SPIRIT. SISTER WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS OBIE AND ESPERNEAL TUCKER, THREE BROTHERS, HAROLD LEE, JAMES, AND STERLING. SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER MEMORY ONE DAUGHTER DEITRICH M. TUCKER, TWO GRANDCHILDREN ASHANTI, AND COLLIN, TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AUBREY, AND AMARI NOAH, SPECIAL FRIEND BENNIE JENKENS, ONE SISTER ROBBIE, FOUR BROTHERS, WILLIAM, OBIE JR., DONNIE, AND ROGER, ONE BROTHER-IN-LAW IRVEN, THREE SISTER-IN-LAWS, ESTHER, CHERYL, AND LINDA, ONE GREAT,GREAT, AUNT ESTELL RICHARDS, DEVOTED PHONE FRIENDS AND FAMILY GLORIA AND WILBURT BROWN, AND EARNADETTE POWELL-FARRAR, AND A HOST OF NIECES, NEPHEWS, COUSINS, AND FRIENDS.

Funeral Services for Ms. Esther Kay Tucker Bass will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Skipwith, VA. The Reverend Dennis King, Pastor will deliever the eulogy.

I have so many wonderful memories of Esther when we worked together at Walmart. I learned so much from her. Not only work related but personally as well. She will truly be missed.
