“Freddy”

Frederick Townes affectionately known to many as “Freddy” entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Clarksville Health & Rehab, surrounded by family.

Frederick was born on March 9, 1951 to the late Andrew (Edna) Townes, Sr. of Clarksville, VA.

He received his education at the West End High School, in Mecklenburg County, VA.

Frederick worked hard during his lifetime and some of what he did was a driver, loader and builder just to name a few. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing singing and dancing.

Frederick was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Bartholomew, Bobby and James Townes all of Virginia.

Frederick leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Victory Cheatwood of Virginia, Karen (Chad) Hayes of Virginia; one son, Charles Watson of Virginia; one sister, Carolyn Royster of Virginia: three brothers, Andrew Townes, Jr., of Virginia, Vance Townes, Sr., of Philadelphia, Marshall Townes, Sr., of Virginia, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Carter’s Funeral Home from 1:00PM-3:00PM for them to sign the register book.
