My friend, fraternity brother, and MVSU band mate "Earth has no sorrows that heaven can't heal". 2 Cor. 5:6, 5:8. We are always confident knowing whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. Confidently as well to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We can all collectively rejoice for one more soul having been safely transported to eternal glory. My friend "HOP". you just go right on ahead and you enjoy this well earned and well deserved rest with the Father in eternal glory.. BLUE WADE 1-71-Beta Theta Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
I'm so thankful to have known Mr. Hopkins as my cousin, teacher, church family member, and friend. He was a great example and role model in all capacities. The Late Mr. Frank Louis Franklin, Sr. (MVSU Alumni 1973) and Family would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Erica and Jonathan and the rest of the Mr. Jimmy Lee Hopkins Family. My most cherished memories of Mr. Jimmy Lee Hopkins was when he would come over to visit his brother Pastor Bennie Hopkins, Sr., I was spending the night with his niece Mrs. Vivian Darnice Hopkins-Moss. Mr. Jimmy Lee Hopkins would always make me laugh at his jokes because he was trying to get me to conversate with him like Vivian Darnice Hopkins-Moss, Bennie Hopkins, Jr., and Vincent Hopkins but I would just laugh. After Mr. Jimmy Lee Hopkins left I would ask Vivan, "Where did your Grandparents get Uncle Jimmy from because he is a character." Rest well Mr. Jimmy Lee Hopkins and Congratulations on a fabulous life of gifts, sacrifices and service.
My deepest sympathy to Erica and Jonathan and the rest of the Hopkins Family. Cynthia Reed
