Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beloved Pastor Bennie J. Hopkins. II Corinthians 5:7 says "For we live by faith, not by sight." Pastor Hopkins was the embodiment of walking by faith. Let his teachings remind us during this time of mourning of the saying, "Faith does not mean trusting God to stop the storm, but to strengthen us as we walk through it." We will walk through this storm as Pastor Hopkins would want us to...with faith in our loving and merciful God. May the memories of his guidance and unwavering faith bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. Let us remember that he would want us to find solace in the knowledge that he is now at peace, watching over us with that grinning smile. Let us also celebrate the incredible legacy our Pastor Hopkins leaves behind. His words of wisdom and his compassionate spirit has touched countless lives, and his dedication to spreading the message of love and hope will continue to inspire us all. Though we feel a profound sense of loss, we are reminded to carry on his mission, honoring his memory by sharing kindness, compassion, and understanding with one another. In doing so, WE keep his spirit alive.
