Obituary For Dorothy Tecora Choice Simpson
Mrs. Dorothy Choice Simpson, age 85, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday August 16, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.
Ms. “Dot”, as she was affectionately known, was born in Laurens County to the late Elise and Rose Lee Choice on October 6,1939. She was raised and educated in Laurens County Schools; and became a member of the 1957 Bell Street High School graduating class.
Her adult years consisted of being married to the love of her life the late Winston Simpson for over 58 years, a nurturing mother of four children, all while working at the Torrington Company until retirement. She was most proud of her beautiful grandchildren and her Hebron Baptist Church family.
Mrs. Dorothy Tecora Choice Simpson will be dearly missed by her children: Michael (Deborah) Simpson, James (Zelda) Simpson, Preston (Martese) Simpson and Cynthia Simpson (Billy); five grandchildren and countless other loving relatives and dear friends .
The Home going Celebration was held on August 21, 2025 at Hebron Baptist Church in Clinton SC. Her final resting place is in the Orchard Park Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
