Obituary For Jennie Lynn Smith

Ms. Jennie Lynn Smith of Quiet Circle Gray Court, SC was born May 8, 1942 to the late Artemus and Lula Smith in Laurens, SC. She was educated in the Laurens County Schools and was raised in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Family.

As a young adult; Mrs. Smith relocated to New Jersey with her three children. She was employed at the Greenbrier Nursing Facility where she was dedicated to each and every person she cared for as a nurses’ aide.

That compassion for others continued through out her career for over 20 years. She then carried it with her back to her hometown of Laurens SC; where she made sure anything she could do for anyone was done. She later moved her membership to join the Poplar Spring AME Church family of Luarens, SC.

After 8o years; on June 2, 2022 Ms. Jennie Lynn Smith answered the call of the Lord in New Jersey. In addition to her parents, she was met at the Heavenly Gates by her grandchildren: Tamar and Victoria Smith; her siblings: Tom, Thelma, Langester, Louise, Hannah, Claude, JD and her twin Gerald.

Those that will cherish her love and memories are her children: Terry, Kenneth, Artemus Smith and Kim (Allen) Pointer; brother Willie Smith; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren; three God Children: Kerry & Peggy Vivett and Coti Hamilton; a special couple she adopted Tim & Rosa Booker and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
