Mr. Thomas Allen Payne, age 68, of Kinard Road, Newberry SC earned his Wings on December 30, 2024 at his home.
Thomas, affectionately known as “T-Payne” was born February 13, 1956 to the late Charlie, Sr. and Geneva Payne in Laurens County. He was raised and attended public schools there. As an adult; Thomas worked for Satterwhite Farms for over 20 years until his health declined. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church in Newberry, SC.
Those that will cherish his memory are his children: Nettie Dandy of Clinton, Charlene Payne of Laurens Thomas Grant and Tristian Grant both of Clinton, a special friend Thomasina Davis; his siblings: Martha Boozer of the home - who was also his caregiver; Charlie Payne Jr. of Joanna, SC, Ozzie Payne of Newberry, SC, Ernest (Patricia) Payne of Washington DC, and Martha Ann Franks of Columbia SC; 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, an aunt, an uncle, 2 brothers in law, 2 sisters in law, two special hospice nurses: Brenda Roberts and Takesha Goode and many other loving relatives and friends.
The service for Mr. Thomas Allen Payne was held on January 4, 2025 in the Childs Funeral Home Chapel.
The family is grateful for everyone that shared in this dark hour. May each of you continue to be blessed.
