Mr. Thomas Curtis Rice, age 78, peacefully earned his wings on March 6, 2026 at the Richard Campbell Nursing Home in Anderson SC; surrounded by his loved ones.

Thomas Curtis Rice was born on May 18, 1947 to the late Elise and Thomas Rice. He was raised in Laurens County and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Clinton, SC. Curtis was a 1968 graduate of Bell Street High School. After graduation; He went on to serve the United States in the US Army. He eventually retired as a Locomotive Engineer with CSX.

Curtis will be remembered and loved by his brothers: Frederick Michael Rice and Roland Gleen Rice; cousins raised like sisters: Shirley Mims and Sara Suber; Nieces: Patreece Shunell Rice, Destiny Renee Williams, Poetry Edwards and Michel'e Rice; Aunts: Carrie Davis Gilliam andThelma Rice Mattox; a dedicated caregiver Larisha Blakely Thompson and many other loving relatives and friends.
