Abraham Leon “Cookie” Session
Abraham Leon “Cookie” Session was the son of Leroy and Rita Session. He was born on Friday, April 14, 1967 in Palatka, FL. Abraham was educated in the Putnam County School Districted and graduated from Palatka High School. Abraham was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed with Florida Furniture and the City of Palatka before becoming ill. Abraham loved fishing, playing cards, Dominos, and hanging with family and friends.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his mother, Rita Session; father, Leroy Session, Sr.; stepson, Charles Brown; niece: Janiyah Wilkerson; mothers-in-law, Louise Jones and Lewis Jones; father-in-law: Curly Ford, Sr. and grandmother, Susie Holmes.
He left to cherish his memories: wife: Linda Session; son: Tywain Session; daughters: Trece Wilkerson, Charlette (Ronald) Robinson, Tieria Bartley, Sharane (Ashanna) Gandy, and De’Anesha (Willie) Florence; brothers: Leroy (Sista) Hunter, Leroy (Margeret) Session, Abraham (Linda) Session, Elijah (Belinda) Session, Tarus Session, Jr.; sisters: Maybel (Henry) Calloway, Angela (John) Wilkerson, and Kandi Williams; god brother: Charlie Brooks; grandson: Tywain Session, Jr.; granddaughters: Taiyonna Session, Ti’asia Session, and Ty’leah Session; sisters- in-law: Annette Hanna, Elouise William, and Elaine (Joseph) Walker; brothers- in-law: Curley (Shirely) Ford, Louis (Denese) Jones, and Curtis Ford; aunts: Betty Session Oilphant, Marie Brown, Alice Terry, and Bobbie-Jean Nelson, uncles: Izell (Jean) Session, Elijah (Karen) Session, and Odell (Elouise) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
The family will receive friends and the community 6-7 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at the former Calvary Baptist Church, Palatka. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Servants Church, 322 North 10th Street in Palatka. Interment: Pattersonville Cemetery.
