Alberta “Carletta” Evans, 58, was on born September 1, 1966, to the Late Carl Durden and Patricia Mosley in Statesboro, Georgia. She attended Alfred Ely High School in Savannah, Georgia. She was a lifelong resident of Statesboro Georgia prior to moving to Hastings, Florida.
Carletta was employed by Sonny’s BBQ Restaurant located in St Augustine, Florida until her health began to fail. She then worked part-time at The Chicken Koop located in Hastings, Florida until she could no longer work.
On June 3, 2008, Carletta married the love of her life, Charles L Evans Sr.
Preceding her in death was her son, Charles L Evans Jr.; Maternal grandparents, James Gordon & Eloise Williams Mosley; Paternal Grandparents, Earl & Lessie Durden; Father and Mother- in- law, John & Myrtle Evans Sr.; sister-in laws, Teresa Lockhart and Janet Calloway.
Alberta Carletta Evans entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia after a sudden illness.
To cherish her memories: Devoted Husband of 17 years, Charles L Evans Sr; sons, Michael (Victor)Thomas, Markel Mosley Sr., and Gerald Evans; Daughter, Candi Evans, grandchildren, Markel Mosley Jr, Messiah Mosley, Skylaa Mosley, Mylaa Mosley, Makai Mosley and Makari Mosley; mother, Patricia Mosley; sisters, Donna Robertson, Melinda McClouden and Marshay Eaddy; brother, Adrain Durden; sister in laws, Doris Givens, Valencia Wesley, Betty Evans and Sharonda Evans; brother in laws, John ( Cassandra) Evans Jr., Marvin (Bernice) Evans and Laurence Calloway; godchildren, Tonoria Wesley, Dontay Hardy, and Laquantonay Wright, favorite uncle, Terence Durden; favorite aunts, Teresa Mosley and Justine “Betty” Moore; best friends, Gwen Days, Mary Byrd, Voncell Evans and Willie Varnes and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
