Audrey Woods was born on December 11, 1941, to Perman and Georgia Anderson in Trenton, Florida. Audrey was educated in the St. Johns County School District. She married the love of her life, Tommie Woods and to this union six children were born. Audrey worked for American Radionics in Palm Coast. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Federal Point where she served under the leadership of Pastor Theodore McRae. She also devoted time sharing her tender hand of care with her family, friends, and community.
Audrey was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Perman and Georgia Anderson, daughters, Lola Mae Woods and Velinda Austin, son, Byron Woods, Sr., siblings, Johnnie Mae Anderson, Wiley Anderson, Horace Anderson, Sr., Howard P. Anderson, Claude Anderson, Lester Anderson, Albert Anderson, and Cecil Anderson, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Tommie L. Woods, Sr., son, Tommie L. Woods Jr., (Stephanie), daughters, Rosaline Woods, Betty Davenport (Robert), Lesa Alexander (George), like a son, Byron T. Woods Jr., brother, Paul Anderson (Gloria), sisters, Lucille Wesley, Marvis Jones, Dorothy Oliver, Ruby Mays, Bonnie Terry, special nephew, Paul Anderson Jr., special friends and family, Thomas R. Lee Jr., Emily Smith, Patricia Robinson, God sister, Louise Douglas, God daughters, Katrina Ellis, Debra Brown, Johnika Gordon, and a huge host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, devoted nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 28, 4-6 p.m., at The Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel, 139 N. Main St, Hastings
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at Mt. Zion AME Church, 601 N. Washington St, Hastings
Interment will be held in Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka
