Carrie Belle McCormick White was born on February 14 (Valentine’s Day), 1950 to Walter & Rosa McCormick. She was a 1968 graduate of Walter E. Harris High School. Carrie retired after 25 was of employment with Flagler Hospital.
From an early through adulthood, Carrie faithfully served the Lord at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, Hastings. She served in multiple auxiliaries. She later joined The Word Christian Center under the leadership for Pastor Abram S. Jones, and served as the Church Treasurer. The Word Christian Center later merged with The Lord’s Temple City of Refuge in Hastings, where Carrie served on the Finance Committee. Additionally, Carrie was a devout supporter of ASJ Ministries. Carrie really loved the Lord and inspired many by the life she lived. She never hesitated to express her appreciation of God’s faithfulness in her life.
On December 4, 1999, Carrie united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Willie Lee White. They shared a special bond of love and remained faithful to their holy vows.
Carrie never met a stranger and she demonstrated love to everyone she encountered. She especially loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.
Her favorite quotes ‘Set your house in order’ and ‘God got us’ were the epitome of the testimony of her love, faith & trust in God.
Carrie was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Walter and Rosa McCormick; brother, Lloyd Brown. Ms Carrie spirit was so loving. She never met a stranger. Her smile would light up a room. Ms Carrie truly LOVED THE LORD!! She will truly be missed.
