DeMarkcus A. “Dirty Red” Chaney entered the sunset of life on Monday, August 26, 2024 at HCA Florida North Hospital, in Gainesville, Florida. A native of Palatka, Florida, DeMarkcus is the son of Louise D. Chaney and Ronald E. Ivey. Affectionately known as “Dirty Red”, he was born on Monday, October 16, 1978 and educated in the Putnam County School District. “Dirty Red” was a very compassionate and caring person and he truly loved his family and friends. He was very soft spoken and his smile would always light up the room. He enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends. “Dirty Red” peacefully and unexpectedly transitioned from his earthly home to his Heavenly home after a brief illness.
DeMarkcus is resting in the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was preceded into eternal rest by his Mother: Louise D. Chaney, Grandmothers: Earnestine E. Ray and Mother Lula Mae Ivey Peoples, Great Grandmother: Margaret J. Ray, Aunts: Carrie Ray Harrison, Jewel Ivey Perry, Renee Rogers, and Mary A. Wright, Uncles: Robert and Lincoln Ray, Kinney and Terry Ivey.
DeMarkcus will forever be Cherished, Loved, and Missed by those who loved him dearly, His Children: DeNasha Chaney, DeMarkcus Izeal Chaney, Kendrick Chaney, De’Ahviuan Chaney, Fabian Chaney, DeMari Chaney, Z’Niya Mone’ Vickers, and Deontay Brown all of Palatka, Florida. His Granddaughter: Royal Edwards, Palatka, Florida, His Brother: Ronald “Mikey” (Nikki) Chaney, Jacksonville, Florida, His Father: Ronald E. Ivey (Angela), Palatka, Florida.
