Obituary For Eddie Alphonso Ware

The Championship Celebration for Mr. Eddie Alphonso Ware Sr.
affectionately known as “Coach Al”
Eddie Ware was born in Palatka, Florida, to Silas Ware III and the late Diania Ware on May 26, 1984. Eddie attended Palatka High School and graduated with the Class of 2002. Eddie Alphonso Ware, Sr., affectionately known as “Coach Al,” was born and raised in Palatka, Florida. From a young age, Eddie was known for his bright smile, warm heart, and natural ability to lead others both on and off the basketball court. After graduating from high school, Eddie pursued a career in healthcare, earning his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. His compassion for helping others guided his professional path as he worked at various healthcare facilities throughout the tri-county area, providing care, comfort, and kindness to countless patients and families. Eddie’s strong work ethic and adventurous spirit later led him to become a travel CNA, a journey that took him across the country and ultimately to Washington State, where he resided for the past ten years. Beyond his work in healthcare, Eddie’s greatest passion was coaching basketball for Interlachen JV Boys, Crescent City JV boys, and his AAU League Team. Known for his mentorship, motivation, and love for the game, he touched the lives of many young athletes. Eddie was preparing to begin new coaching positions with Fife High School Boys Basketball Teams and Paraprofessional for students with disabilities at Steilacoom High School— continuing his lifelong mission to build character and confidence through the sport he loved. Eddie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Fredrick T. Demps. His faith in God remained a guiding light throughout his life. Those who knew Eddie will forever remember his dedication, his laughter, his love for family and community, and his unwavering commitment to shaping young lives for the better. He has now exchanged his earthly court for his Heavenly Court, where he continues to coach, guide, and inspire from above.

Preceding him in eternal rest his Mother: Diania L Ware, Maternal grandparents, Rosa Lee Shackelford and Eddie Johnson, Paternal grandparents: Mr. Silas and Mrs. Annie Ware Jr.
