Gibson Wright, Sr. was born to Bennie Wright and Carrie Hankins Wright on October 10, 1940, in St. Augustine, Florida. His life was all about fixing cars and having junk. He enjoyed cooking and could do it better than most. He enjoyed family and friends and was a great husband, dad, and grandaddy.
In addition to his parents, Gibson was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wright, brothers, Willie, Bennie, Jepus, and Charlie Wright, sisters, Margaret and Edith.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Debra Page, Barbara (Junior) Whitmore, Elizabeth Oliver (Ron), Celeste Wright, Joann Whitfield, Sherell Anderson (Frank), Zobra Johnson Hill, sons, Gibson (Judy) Wright, Larry Wright (Angela), Benjamin Wright, Lorenzo Davis, sister, Rosa Wright, Carrie Wright, Lou Wright, 36 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, childhood friend, Bishop Early Lee Brown and a host of caring relatives and friends.
The Wright family will receive friends and the community 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life 10 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel, Hastings.

Hello grandpa: Just stopping by to say hi. I miss you so much and cry everyday thinking of you, grandma and pooh bear. I know that yall are together and is watching over the family. I miss our talks and visits and wish that I could of had one more day so I could have did what you wanted me to do with the family. I love you and will always remember our talks.
