Isaiah Jerome Grayer, 57, of Jacksonville, Florida, entered into eternal rest on November 2, 2025, in Jacksonville.
He was born on November 23, 1967, in St. Augustine, Florida, to the late John Grayer and Lilla Mae Anderson. On July 1, 1998, he was united in marriage to Veronica Hampton in Palatka, Florida.
Isaiah was a licensed barber for nearly fifteen years. He took great pride in his craft and was known for his skill, dedication, and genuine care for his clients and community.
In his spare time, Isaiah enjoyed watching and participating in sports, spending time with family, perfecting his barbering skills, and standing firm in his beliefs. Above all, he strived to be the best person he knew how to be.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Veronica Grayer; son, Johnathon Grayer; mother, Lilla Mae Anderson; father, John Grayer; and brothers, Jerry Anderson, Jimmie Brazel, and James P. Anderson.
Isaiah leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Patricia Grayer (Jacksonville, FL), Latysha Sutton (Daytona, FL), Destiny Melton (Jacksonville, FL), and Carmisha Wiggins (Tallahassee, FL); sons, Isaiah Grayer II (St. Augustine, FL) and Albert Fish (Jacksonville, FL); brothers, Edward Grayer, Louis Napper, Shelly Brazel, Nathaniel Anderson, Richard Anderson, and Daniel Brazel; sisters, Andrea Hamilton and Silvia Grayer-Kang; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends he held close to his heart.
Isaiah will be remembered as a reliable and generous man always helping others in need and expecting nothing in return. He had a heart for guiding and encouraging those around him, always seeing potential in others, no matter what life brought their way.

My classmate. I will truly miss you my friend. This one hurts. You will be forever missed.
Ike was my barber for many years and I will miss him. He loved the Lord deeply, and it showed in the way he treated people. Ike had a way of making you feel valued and I will miss our conversations. Above all, Ike loved his family, you could hear it in his words and see it in his priorities. He was more than my barber, he my brother and my friend. Blessings and peace to his family. I pray the Lords covering over you as you process your loss.
Ike - the word says a good name is better than precious ointments- thank you for the life you have lived before me and others. You can now rest from your labor. Your laughter, your thoughts, your presence will all be missed - but there is no more pain nor worry- I pray God brings strength and comfort to your family in this season.
