Jessica Marie Smith was born on June 11, 1965, to Stoney and Thelma Mae Smith in Bunnell, Florida.
Jessica dedicated 30 years of her life to working as a housekeeper, including five years of service at the Best Western Hotel. She enjoyed cooking and barbecuing, playing cards, and appreciating the simple pleasures of life. Most of all, she loved dancing, working crossword puzzle books, attending cookouts, and spending time at family events, where she created lasting memories with those she held dear.
Jessica was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Stoney and Thelma Mae Smith; her grandmother, Rachel Baldwin; her brother, Raymond Smith; her sister, Charlene Johnson; and her uncles, Frank Baldwin and Shelly Gene Baldwin.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Remus L. Smith (Jenifer), Tyran P. Smith, and Cornelius Baker; her daughters, Felicia London (James), Jessica Holiday, and Takirra Baker; her stepdaughters, Michelle and Lashunda Dillard; her life partner, John Cruse; her special daughter-in-law, Mattie Verdell; and her 2nd mother, Annbell London. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Dorothy Mae Cross and Kathleen Brooks; her aunts, Roberta Smith and Rosa Baldwin; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Strother (Deacon) and Maggie Francis.
She will also be remembered fondly by her dear friends, Lisa Jenkins, Cynthia White, Gloria Shavers, Jerri Lacy, Martin(s) Jones, and Sally Gordon, as well as her special friends Wayne Walker and Peter Baker.
