Joe Richard Burnham was born on February 11, 1950, in Stockton, Georgia, to Joe Richard Burnham Sr. and Luella Tomlin Burnham. He peacefully departed this life on March 4, 2026, to be with Jesus at Advent Medical Hospital.
He was educated in the Flagler County School District and graduated from Bunnell High School, Class of 1969. At the age of 18, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served his country from 1969 to 1971.
Joe later married and became the proud father of three children. As his life continued, he gave his heart to the Lord and became a devoted member of Berean Baptist Church, where he was deeply loved by all who knew him.
He was employed with Volusia Timber for 25 years, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable man. Joe was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
After the passing of his father, Joe stepped up to care for his family, his mother, sisters, and brothers, and he did so with great pride and love.
Joe was preceded in eternal rest by his parents, Joe Richard Burnham Sr. and Luella Tomlin Burnham; his sibling, Ronnie Burnham; his son, Stacy Burnham; and his stepsons, Willie Allen and Anthony Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Joe Burnham III (Connie) of California, Sherlyn Lorick of Bunnell, and Sonia Tallis (George) of Gainesville; stepchildren, Arhalia Jones, Charles Boyd, Dillia Lee, and Loriane Harris; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Bernice Oates (Fred) of Daytona Beach, Jo Ann Small (Roosevelt) of Espanola, Coloria Jean Harris (Clifford) of Bunnell, Carolyn Bozeman (Romeo) of Jacksonville, Brenda Williams and Calvin Burnham, both of Bunnell; a special friend and fiancée, Dolores Lee of Daytona Beach; and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
