Lady Janie M. Kelley was born on July 2, 1954, to James and Virginia Warner in St. Augustine, Florida. On July 5, 1972, she was united in marriage to Donald M. Kelley in St. Augustine.
She dedicated more than 40 years to her work as a beautician and cosmetologist, sharing her talents at A Touch of Class, Touch of Elegance, Ms. Drucilla’s Place, and Hands Anointed.
Lady Kelley faithfully served as a Deaconess Missionary of the Church of God in Christ and as the First Lady of the St. Augustine District.
She had a love for flowers and enjoyed watching some of her favorite television programs, including Perry Mason, Matlock, In the Heat of the Night, and classic Westerns. She also delighted in shopping and spending time in the things she loved.
She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, Deacon James and Virginia Warner, and her sisters, Lorraine Jackson and Margie Turner.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband, Superintendent Elder Donald M. Kelley; her loving daughter, Danielle M. Kelley; her sister, Yvonne Warner; her cherished grandson, Jah'Hari N. Watts; her nephew, James Deion White; and her niece, Lashawn Beuford.
She is also remembered by her sisters-in-law, Evangelist Emma Corbett and Altamese Kelley; her brothers-in-law, Elder Antonio Kelley and Minister Peter Kelley (Francis); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She was a beloved Godmother to her Godson, Johnathan Oxedine, and her Goddaughters, Tasha Walden and La'Reaya Bailey, as well as a host of other Godchildren. Lady Kelley will also be deeply missed by her Church of God in Christ family.
