Mary Crumpton, 100, of Palatka, was born on Saturday, April 17, 1920 to Orange and Charity Sarah Hopkins in Lecanto, Fl. She married John Benjamin Crumpton on Monday, April 12, 1937. She was employed by LA Masters Farms in Hastings. Mother Mary enjoyed being over the neighborhood watch, cooking, gardening, and dancing. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Crumpton, sons, Tommy L. Crumpton, John B. Crumpton Jr., Danny L. Crumpton, Charlie Jo Crumpton, daughters, Dorothy Verdell, Doretha Crumpton, Julie Lewis, Betty J. Hill She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Willie C (Mattie) Crumpton, Robert (Patricia) Crumpton, Frankie Crumpton, daughters, Ruthie M. Anderson, Curly M. Crumpton, like a son, Michael Crumpton, foster son, Franklin Johns, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, special friends, John Churle, Jim Ross, William Sanders The Crumpton family will receive friends and the community from 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at Harvest Time Ministries, 527 Washington Street, Hastings. A celebration of life will be held graveside at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Oak Hill West Cemetery, 712 S. Palm Ave., Palatka. Pastor Christopher T. Coleman, Harvest Time Ministries, is the eulogist.
