Obituary For Nathaniel McDuffy

Nathaniel McDuffy, Sr.,70, of Palatka, FL, was born on June 15, 1954, in Fort McCoy, FL, to Henry and Nettie Earnestine McDuffey. Affectionately known as “Baby” by his family and throughout the community, Nathaniel was a beloved presence to all who knew him. He received his education through the Putnam County School District. After completing his studies, he began a long-standing career at Florida Furniture, where he worked for many years with dedication and pride. Nathaniel had a deep love for music and dancing, often seen enjoying his favorite tunes with his signature big boom box. Just saying “Baby” was enough to spark a song from him—he brought joy and rhythm wherever he went. Above all, Nathaniel cherished the time spent with his family and friends. His vibrant spirit, sense of humor, and loving nature will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his grandparents, Roy & Viola Lee and J.D. Gardner; brother, Willie B. McDuffy; sisters, Deloris Green and Cassie McDuffie; and nieces, Katrina Daniels and Michell White.

He leaves to cherish his many memories : children, Nathaniel McDuffy Jr., Travis McDuffy and Chiquita McDuffy; brothers, Henry (Darlene) McDuffy Jr., Lee (Rosa Green) McDuffy, and Arther (Bobbie) McDuffy; sisters, Frankie (AC) Fulton, Gloria White, and Ellen McDuffie; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and sorrowing community.

The McDuffy Family will receive extended family and friends on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m. at The New Passionate First Born Church of Palatka, Elder James Mathews, Pastor. The Homegoing Celebration will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at The New Passionate First Born Church of Palatka. Burial will take place in Oak Hill-West Cemetery.
