Mr. Oscar Lee Parker, Sr., 80, of Palatka, entered eternal rest surrounded by the love and memories of those who cherished him dearly. He was born on December 13, 1945, in Hastings to the late Arthur and Margarett Parker.
Oscar was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He deeply loved spending time with his family and creating lasting memories with those closest to him. Known for his calm spirit and humble nature, Oscar enjoyed life in a quiet and meaningful way.
He was an avid fisherman who found peace and happiness near the water, often sharing stories, laughter, and treasured moments with family and friends while fishing. Oscar also had a strong love for the Lord and faithfully served as a deacon at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Rodgers. His dedication to his church and community reflected his kind heart, servant spirit, and unwavering faith.
He leaves to cherish his many memories: children, Reginald (Yolanda) Parker, Darrell (Chiquita) Parker, Oscar Parker Jr., Alton Parker, and Bryce Parker; sister, Doris Parker, a host of extended family members and friends.
The Parker Family will receive extended family and community on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church from 6:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. The Homegoing Celebration will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
