Patricia Ann “Patty Bowles” Naylor, 84, of Palatka, Florida, was born on Saturday, January 3, 1942, to the late Leroy and Genevieve Nelson. Subsequently in life, Patricia was lovingly adopted by Wadie and Lulu Bowles, who played an instrumental role in her upbringing and life’s journey. Affectionately known as “Patty” to her family and friends, Patricia was educated in Columbia County, Florida. She attended Richardson High School in Lake City, Florida, where she successfully completed her education and graduated.

Patricia possessed a strong work ethic and dedicated many years of her life to providing for herself and her family. Throughout her working career, she was employed at the Crab House, Hudson Paper Mill—now known as Georgia-Pacific—Spartan Electronics, and American Radionics. Her years of service reflected her dedication, dependability, and willingness to work diligently in every endeavor she undertook. Outside of work, Patricia enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She found great joy in reading her Bible, completing crossword puzzles, and shopping. These activities brought her countless moments of peace, relaxation, and enjoyment.

Patricia’s faith in God remained an important foundation throughout her life. She was a faithful member of H.T. Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Amos Murray. Following his transition, Patricia remained committed to the ministry under the leadership of Pastor Ruth Murray. During her years of faithful service, she served diligently on the Usher Board and Hospitality Board, always willing to extend a warm welcome and helping hand to others. She later became a member of Soul Mission Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Alonzo Mulberry. After relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, for several years, Patricia continued her Christian journey by attending Victorious Faith Impact Ministries Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent H. Wayne Colbert, Sr.

Throughout the seasons of her life, Patricia remained a woman grounded in faith, family, hard work, and service. Her journey carried her through many experiences, yet her love for God remained steadfast. The memories she created, the wisdom she shared, and the life she lived will remain forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in eternal rest by her sister, Jeannie A. Nichols and Sheila E. Howard; brother, Eddie Lee Glenn and Ray Bowles; grandson, Lonnie Johnson; nieces, Sylvia Glenn, Patrice D. Milledge, Deisha Johnson, and Shondrea Johnson; Goddaughter, Debra Butler; good friend, Shirley Hendrith.

To cherish her memories: daughters, Alma (Solomon) Bowles, Tammy Fells, Bridget (William) Hayward, and Stacy Bowles; sister, Dorothy Clardy; nieces, Veronica Milledge, and Lisa Thomas; Godson, John W. Hurdle; like a sister, Pastor Ruth Murray and Alice Cook; grandchildren, Niaja Bowles, Chantae Leland, Desmond Bowles, Kendra Bowles, Paige Bowles, Kanisha Bowles, Ketarie Bowles, Keasia Bowles, Kiana Fells, Dontrell Fells, Tamera Roberts, Kaaliyah Roberts, Aleesha Hayward, Zack Glenn, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

The late Patricia Ann Naylor Family will receive friends and the community on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 5:00p.m.-6:00p.m. at Victorious Faith Impact Ministries Church of God in Christ. The Homegoing Celebration will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Victorious Faith Impact Ministries Church of God in Christ. The burial will be in Welaka Community Cemetery.
