In loving memory of Deaconess Persilla Hall Williams, a beacon of light and love. She lived 77 years, was a devoted wife to her husband of 45+ years, Mr. David
L. Williams Sr., and an incredible mother to her nine children. She was born to the late Willie Hall and Mary Lee Bennett. Her early years of life were spent in a small town called Neoga, Florida. At the age of two, her mother and siblings moved to Bunnell, Florida, where she would spend most of her life. She received her GED from Flagler Palm Coast High School. She worked many places and fulfilled many positions including Head Cook at Bantum Chef restaurant (Bunnell, Florida). She was raised in a close-knit family that instilled in her the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance. Her lineage trailed from the Howell, Hall, Giddens, Spates, and Bizell families. Persilla’s warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and her gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was an active member in her church (St. James Missionary Baptist Church of Bunnell) where she was a Deaconess and loved to sing and praise The Lord! Persilla’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through both joyous and challenging times with grace and resilience.
She found immense joy in simple pleasures, whether it was fishing by the lake, traveling from state to state, cooking meals for her loved ones, or sharing laughter with friends and family in her front yard. As we bid farewell to our Matriarch, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire us all.
Persilla was preceded in death by her mother: Mary Lee Bennett (Hall), father: Willie Hall, sons: David Lee Williams Jr. and Andre Bernard Williams Sr. and sister: Naomi Hall. She leaves to cherish
her memories, her husband: David Lee Williams Sr, her daughter: Betty (Nathaniel) Brewer, her sons: Lorenza Williams Sr., Darial (Ama) Williams, Wayne Williams Sr., Bryant Williams, Dedric Williams, Jermaine (Yolonda) Williams Sr., her brother: David (Bubba) Hall, her sisters: Willie Lee Hall, Mary Dunlap (Spearmon), 31 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and The St. James Missionary Baptist Church family.
The Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024 at First Baptist of Bunnell. The Williams Family will receive friends and the community from 12:00p.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast.
Grandma, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. It's been three months since you've been gone and boy have the world and our family changed tremendously. I know it's selfish to want you back, you're free now from all your pain and the wickedness of this world! I hope Heaven is as beautiful as it is said to be. I hope the angels know JUST what they have! I hope you're dancing and smiling and singing like you did down here! Grandma, I feel so empty. I don't think I'll ever get used to you not physically being here. I feel your presence sometimes so I know you're not too far. I know we all have an expiration date but never did I imagine yours being so soon. I hated seeing you down and not being able to do anything when you were the superhero in so many of my situations. Oh my granny girl, I love you so much!!! I have so many pictures, videos and memories that keep me going!!! I can still hear the sound of your footsteps going down the stairs, I hear the echoes of your voice in my head, I remember just how soft and loose your touch was, the taste of the great meals!! I'm glad I have some of those recipes. Because of you... I'll forever be a dolphins fan!! I love you Ma Sillaaaaa!! If it's not too much , please look after our family. We can use the guidance from the greatest angel out there! Hug Grandma "May Lee", Auntie Linda, Selena, Dot, Tinchie Alert, Peaches, My Uncles, Your Boys, hug everyone for me. Tell them I love them and miss them too!!!
