Shalunda (Shaun) Butler, 45, of Bunnell, FL was born on Sunday, April 21, 1974 in Bunnell, FL to Larry Johnson, Sr., and Gloria Jean Butler McKay.
She received her education in the Flagler County School District and subsequently graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School with the class of 1993. Upon the completion of her High School Diploma, Shaun furthered her education at Daytona State College. Shalunda was employed in the nursing field for 20 plus years. She was a member of House of Joy for 15 years under Pastor Alice Emanuel and transitioned to Fellowship Restorational Church under Rev. Elijah Emanuel. Shaun enjoyed shopping, cooking, eating crabs and spending time with her family. On Friday, February 21, 2020, Sister Shalunda Butler transitioned from this life to her eternal life at AdventHealth of Daytona, FL.
In addition to her mother, Shaun was preceded in eternal rest by her father, Kenneth McKay; grandparents, James & Minnie Butler, Sr.; sisters, Shatoya Renee McKay, and Cammie Johnson; brothers, Robert Johnson and Larry Johnson, Jr.; uncle, Alphonsa Butler.

The Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Espanola, FL, Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens, Sr., Pastor. The viewing will be an hour prior to The Homegoing Celebration. Her pastor, Rev. Elijah Emanuel will deliver the eulogy.
