Susan Alberta Gipson was born in Bartow, Florida to the late Bobbi Jean Davis and Emmanel Shipman. Sue enjoyed many things in her life such as cooking, shopping, fishing and especially going to church. Sue worked as a bus aide for Flagler County Schools for a number of years. Sue was not only a pillar and active member of her community; she was an awesome worship and praise leader at House of Joy Ministries. However, out of all the things Susan loved; she loved her family most which includes: her mother, Bobbi Jean Davis (deceased), her father Emmanuel Shipman (deceased), her sister, Rose Garrett (deceased), her brothers, David Edwards (deceased), Shawn Brown (deceased) Michael Davis (wife Jainie) who resides in Georgia.
Her husband, Raleigh Alexander Jr., her children, Juan Gipson, Toya Leeks, Anita Johnson, all of Bunnell, Florida, and Melissa Johnson (deceased), grandchildren, Terrence Leeks, Lakia, Jaquadis Johnson, Tapazia Gatlin, China Johnson, Semaj and Kmarion Ransom, Caumarion Lang, Kyra Johnson, and Nyree Brown, her great-grandchildren, Nyala Gatlin, Tez Leeks, her God children, Alaina Washington, Jarius Williams, her nieces, Shalita Garrett, Jasmine Brown, Sarah and Noami Edwards, her best friend, Ethel Mae Boatwright, her favorite cousin, Kevin Gipson. SHE WILL TRULY BE MISSED BY ALL!!!
The family will receive friends and the community 5-6 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2025, at House of Joy Ministries, 306 B Railroad Street, Bunnell, Florida, Pastor/Overseer Alice Emanuel
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025, at House of Joy Ministries
Miss Sue was truly a beautiful spirited woman. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone who had the opportunity to cross paths with her. My sincere condolences to the family. Sent with LOVE.
