Sylvester James Sr. was born on December 26, 1961, to Louis and Louise James in Palatka, Florida. He was employed at Florida Furniture for 3 years and MacDill Air Force Base for 6 years. Sylvester enjoyed playing cards, singing, dancing, cooking, and being a comedian. He will truly be missed.
Sylvester was proceeded in eternal rest by his father, Louis James, grandmothers, Alice Brown and Rosa Lee James, grandfather, Clarence James, Sr., sister, Frances Little, brother, Clarence James, uncles, Eddie James, Emmanuel James, aunts, Frances Brown, and Stelle Campbell
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Louise James, sons, Sylvester James Jr., Christian Wiggs, Sylvester James, III, daughters, Aulia Norris, Kimber Fuqua (Trevon Sr.), brother, Roddrick James, sisters, Lucille Howell (Julius), and Mary Brown, grandchildren, Keyshon James, La'zarious James, Neriah James, Raliyah Matson, Michael and Miyani Brwon, Dijavis Green, Jarelle Mercado, Jaden Mercado, Trevon Fuqua Jr., Ju'welz Fuqua, Reign Fuqua, special grandchildren, Breanna Brown and Keshawn Hughus, special friends, Yolanda Jones (Nikki), Tamika Shannon, Daryl Wilborne, Lewis Sheppard, and Rudolph Davis (Buck), and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and the community5-7p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at Holy Temple Chruch of God 129 Big Apple Rd, East Palatka, Florida
