Silvia Ann Bellamy was born on March 14, 1952, in Elkton, Florida, to John Grayer and Ella Louise Brooks. She dedicated 18 years of service to the St. Johns County School District, where she was honored as Employee of the Year, and 20 years to the Red Carpet Inn in St. Augustine. Silvia retired in 2018. She found joy in completing crossword puzzles and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Silvia was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Kenneth Lee Utley; her mother, Ella Louise Brooks; her father, John W. Grayer; her sister, Catherine Manning; and her grandmother, Mary Lou Jackson, brother, Ike Grayer
She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Anthony King (Jacqueline) of Palatka, Florida; her brothers, Edward Grayer, Sr. of Elkton, Florida, Rev. Nate Anderson of Palm Coast, Florida, and Willie Nathaniel King (Della) of St. Augustine, Florida; her sisters, Brenda Wright (James) of San Mateo, Florida, Alecia Harvey (Willie) of Hastings, Florida, and Sharon Howard (Gary) of St. Augustine, Florida; her grandsons, Haiden Utley, Kendrick Utley, and Isaiah Calloway (King), all of Palatka, Florida; her granddaughters, Tonette Calloway and Paris King, both of Palatka, Florida, and L’Cassie King of Altamonte Springs, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation 5-6 p.m., Friday, December 19, at the Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel, Hastings
Celebration of life 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, at Bethel AME Church 719 Reid St, Palatka
Interment will be held in Armstrong Cemetery
