Obituary For Timothy Edwards Jr.

Timothy Edwards, Jr. was born on December 22, 1938, to the late Mr. Tim Edwards and Mrs. Annie Belle Holmes Edwards. He was a longtime resident of Hastings, Florida, for 43 years, having relocated from Palatka. Timothy received his education through the Putnam County School System in Palatka.
He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dorothy S. Edwards. Timothy was employed with Central States and later retired from Florida Power & Light after many years of dedicated service.
Timothy had a passion for mechanical work and was well known for his ability to repair and restore vehicles. He especially enjoyed working on automobiles, motorcycles, and engines, including antique cars, and took great pride in his craftsmanship. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching uplifting worship services, keeping up with the news, and relaxing with his favorite westerns. He will be remembered for his mechanical talents, his love of working with his hands, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents, Tim and Annie Belle Edwards; his sisters, Lillian "Dolly" Boyd and Carrie Bell Williams; his brothers, James C. Edwards and Fredrick Edwards; his daughter, Stephanie Louise Edwards; and his sons, Tommy Edwards and Troy L. Prince.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his beloved wife, Dorothy S. Edwards; his sons and daughters, David (LaRetha) Green, Janet Edwards, Konard Edwards, Timothy Edwards III, Barnabus S. Prince, Lavancy P. (John) Lawton, and Benjamin (Arlene) Prince Jr.; his sisters and brothers, Emily Mae Holden, Dennis L. (Patricia) Edwards, and Linda Gail Puryear; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026, at The Felix Coleman Memorial Chapel, 139 N. Main Street, Hastings, Florida.

Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026, The Lord’s Temple, 140 Gilmore Street, Hastings, Florida.

Interment will be held in Pattersonville Cemetery
