Timothy L. Jones, 68, of Hastings, FL was born on July 12, 1951 to Moses Jones, Sr. and Drunella Williams in St. Augustine, FL. He attended school in the St. Johns County School District and graduated from The Walter E. Harris High School, class of 1970. After graduating, subsequently he joined the United States Army in 1973 and became a trade electrician. Timothy was honorable discharged in 1977. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. On Thursday, January 23, 2020, Timothy decided to take his final ride to his eternal resting place from Putnam Community Medical Center. In addition to his parents, Timothy was preceded in eternal rest by his siblings, Carol Jones – Floyd, Shirley Jones – Williams, and Moses Jones, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his many memories; companion, Dana Johnson; sister, Emma Jones – Brinkley; nieces, Lavern Jones – Brown, Angela Jones – Manuel; nephews, Harrison W. Jones, Sean Jones, Charles Anthony Jones, a host of cousins, extended family, and sorrowing community
The viewing will be 6:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Hastings, FL, Rev. Johnny Johns, Pastor. His nephew, Rev. Harrison W. Jones, eulogist. The Homegoing Celebration will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church. The burial will be in Pattersonville Cemetery, East Palatka, FL.
Uncle Tim you will be missed! The last talk we had you made me aware that you had that special conversation with our Father which is in Heaven!! Rest on Uncle Tim your work here on earth is Finished... Your Niece Ruby....
