On January 15, 1958, God sent an angel, Vanessa Drucilla Hatcher. She was born to the late Annie Black and David Fraction Sr. She Vanessa attended the public schools of Bristol, Tennessee.
Vanessa was a domestic engineer. Upon arrival in St. Augustine, she joined St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorialship of Rev. Emery Bradley, Rev. A.J. Houston and currently under the leadership of Rev. John Reese. Vanessa loved to sing as her loving husband Jerome played his juitar. She sanged in the church choir. She was a good and faithful servant of the Lord, a Sunday School Secretary and a Deaconess. Vanessa met everyone with a smile.

Vanessa has left behind a very caring and devoted husband of 45 years to cherish the memories of their Spirit-filled LOVE and time together, none other than Deacon Jerome Raggins. She leaves twin sons (her friends): Jackson and Jason Raggins. They will carry the memories of a nurturing, loving mother forever in their hearts. She has departed from her Sisters: Beverly Sanders, Harriet Raggins, Diane Brown, Niaomi Daggs, Rose Fraction, Grand Daughters: Jasmine, Nevaeh Vanessa Drucilla Raggins, Jaylessa Elaine Raggins, Grandson: Nehemiah Joel Raggins and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends of the Family.
God’s Holy and Blessed Word in 11 Corinthians 5:8 KJV says, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” Amen
