The world welcomed Gillan's arrival on Saturday, February 4, 1956, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. She was the cherished daughter of Frederick and Emma Lindo.
Gillian was very loved by her family. She fulfilled many roles: a mother, a sister, an endearing individual, a visionary, a businesswoman, and a comedian. Her humility and quickness to seek reconciliation deepened the bonds of love and respect among her family and friends.
Gillian's gift for sharing and creating joy was unparalleled. She loved to travel, visiting family and friends, cherishing their company. She brought laughter and joy effortlessly, whether through stories, dance, or jokes.
Gillian's legacy lives on through her three children: Latisha Bryan, Diana Coleman (Jermain); siblings: Alixier Gooden, Peter Lindo (Deanna), Veronica Hall (Devon), Lindel Lindo, Pamela Lindo; grandchildren: Djramareon Coleman, Renajah Coleman; great granddaughter: Avyanna Coleman and a host of cousins, additional family members, and a village of friends also mourn her passing. Though her presence is missed, they will carry her and her legacy dearly as she continues to dance in their hearts forever.

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult things we can go through, so much more if it is a sibling. No words can express what we are feeling right now and I'm sure only time can help us accept the fact.
