Mr. Ernest Charles Agnew, 82, of Gastonia, North Carolina was born January 27, 1943 and departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at CaroMont Regional Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Arrangements Are As Follow:
VISITATION: The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M.
PLACE OF FUNERAL: Center Baptist Church, 3301 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28056
DATE & TIME: Monday, March 31, 2025 @ 11:00 A.M.
VISITATION: At the church on Monday one hour prior to service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
INTERMENT: Church Cemetery

I worked with Ernie at the City of Wilmington for many years. I was his supervisor and he was my number one section supervisor. He was respected by everyone he worked with in the City. In my 20 years in the Air Force and 25 years with the City, Ernie was one of the finest individuals I had the honor to work and serve with. I can still remember he wanted to get his years in for retirement for he play the game of golf he loved so much. Godspeed old friend.
