To the Burge Family. Coach Burge was my wonderful physical education teacher at Highland Jr. High School in the 60's. He was an amazing and kind role model to all. He was a fine respectful man who cared about his students.
Rest in peace Coach.

Coach Burge was definitely my favorite teacher because he was just so straight forward and always kept us in line for greatness. He definitely was a great man and I'm glad I had the opportunity of knowing such a great man. My condolences to the family and prayers as well. Sleep easy Coach Burge!
My deepest sympathy to the Burge and Andrews families. Trish and I have been friends since Jr. High school playing basketball and running track and Mr. Burge was our mentor, her father, my respected friend, one who stayed on the straight and narrow and always made sure you understood what he was saying. His sense of humor and straight forwardness will be greatly missed. A genuine gentleman like no other. May God send the Holy Spirit to comfort the family. Respectfully, Johnetta Harris
Coach Burge was a role model for many African American student athletes to look up to during the years at Hunter Huss. It wasn't just about basketball but education as well. RIP Coach Burge! Sherry Herndon McClure
So sorry to hear of the loss of Green Burge. We spent many good years together at HHHS. I always enjoyed the time we spent together there. May God bless him and his family during this unfortunate period of their lives. Coach Helms (Nikki).
