Grover Sanders, Jr. was born in Gastonia, NC on May 13, 1947 to the late Grover Sanders, Sr. and Thelma Hickman Sanders. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his home in Dallas, NC.
Grover was educated in the Gaston County Public School System. He was a Graduate of Highland High School the Class of 1965. Grover retired from Tyco Electronics after 40 plus years of service.
He was a faithful member of St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church where he was very active and attended regularly until his health began to fail him. Grover served on the Trustee Board, Men’s Choir and Transportation Ministry. He was a Member of Moloch Elks Lodge #468 Gastonia, NC.
Grover was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over forty years, Brenda Minter Sanders, four sisters, Dorothy Mae Gardin, Barbara Jean Barrow, Levoy Miller and Thelma Rita Glenn.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife of eighteen years Sheila Jackson Sanders; daughter, Pamela Denise Sanders of Gastonia, NC; sons, Tracy Jerome Sanders (Nicole) of Econdido, California, Leonard Bernard Sanders (Melanie) of Gastonia, NC; three sisters, Vister Hinton of Lanham, Maryland, Willene Crawford (Raymond) and Suzanne Davis (Carroll) both of Gastonia, NC ; brother Eric Sanders, Sr. (Zinnie) of Gastonia, NC; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Public Viewing will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M.
