Obituary For Jacob Donovan "Donnie" Green

Jacob Donovan Green was born January 14,1982, in Richland County, Columbia, South Carolina. He was the son of Jacob Eli Green and Marilyn Ashford Green of Cherryville, North Carolina, and the brother of Denitra Shardai Green. Donnie went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

Donnie was a 2000 graduate of Hunter Huss High School, in Gastonia, North Carolina where he was awarded a full academic scholarship to North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. He later transferred to Winston-Salem State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics in 2012. He went on to teach at Ben L. Smith High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the past 7 years.

Jacob was a loving-devoted husband to Marquita Tabron Green and a doting amazing father to his 1 year old daughter Journee Mireya Green.

Jacob was preceded in death by his son Franklin Harry Green.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Marquita Tabron Green, his daughter, Journee Mireya Green, his furry pal, Winston Green, his mother, Marilyn Ashford Green, father, Jacob Eli Green, sister, Denitra Shardai Green, a loving sweet niece, Malorie Ja’Myah Thomasson, his mother and father-in-law, Danny and Karen Tabron; one brother-in-law, Darius Tabron, all of Raleigh, North Carolina, his lifelong best friend, Jermaine Brown and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, students and friends.
