Mr. James Hope Phillips, 87, of Cramerton Road, Gastonia, North Carolina was born on September 19, 1932 and departed this life Saturday, August 22, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Green and Sarah Jane Heffner Phillips.

VIEWING: The Body will be open at Costner Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

We are saddened by the passing of Mr. James. He always did a very thorough job and brightened our day at the gravesite. He will be missed by many.
Rest in peace Mr. Phillips. You taught me so much in how to treat all people with respect and dignity. You were the hardest worker I've ever known as well as the best grave digger. Prayers for comfort for your family sir.
