Jeff and I met at NCA&T our freshman year in 1979 as we were in the same area of study in the School of Technology. He also was from my hometown of Kinston, NC. Through our commonality we had a mutual respect for one another. After graduation we went our separate ways chasing our careers and life. A couple of years ago after I moved to Charlotte I ran into Jeff at church and the friendship was rekindled. We enjoyed our Saturday morning breakfasts together when our schedules permitted. We served together at NCA&T on the Advisory Board in the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology. I enjoyed Jeff's spirit and spiritual approach to life. I am so greatful to have been able to spend time with him in his final days. Rest Heavenly my Friend. You will be greatly missed. Anthony Artis
I met Jeff in 1976, we started middle school together and graduated high school together. Afterwards our lives took a different direction, but we still communicated. I considered him to be a good friend, he was a groomsman in my wedding. I will miss him dearly, but I can say I had a good friend. George W. Parker Jr.
