In Loving Memory of Jessica Martineau
February 1, 1983 – February 26, 2025
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jessica Martineau, 42, of Lincolnton, NC, who left this world on February 26, 2025. She was a devoted mother, a loving daughter, a cherished sister, and a woman of unwavering faith.
Jessica’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to Matthew Ditlove and Dorsett Bell, both of North Carolina. She was also a proud grandmother to Matthew Jr. (MJ), whom she adored deeply. She is survived by her father, Stephen Martineau of New Hampshire, and joins her beloved mother, Karen Martineau, in eternal peace.
She was a treasured sister to Stephen Martineau and his wife Tania of North Carolina, Eric Martineau and his wife Jenny of New Hampshire, Melissa Sciortino and her significant other Gerald of North Carolina, Ann Tiso and her husband Jim of South Carolina, Sherry Mullin and her husband Josh of North Carolina, and James Martineau of New Hampshire. Jessica was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom will deeply miss her warmth, humor, and loving presence.
Jessica was a daughter of God and lived her life with an unwavering love for the Lord. Her faith guided her through every challenge, and her heart was always open to those in need. She radiated kindness, and her beautiful, infectious smile could brighten any room.
Jessica loved to dress up to go to parties and had a passion for games and friendly competition, bringing laughter and excitement to family gatherings. Whether it was a board game, a card game, or a playful debate, she loved the thrill of the challenge and the joy of winning—though her real victory was the time spent with those she loved.
Her presence in our lives was a gift, and her memory will remain in our hearts forever. A service to celebrate Jessica’s life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 5:00pm at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church in Dallas NC. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance of her beautiful spirit.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, 1026 Dallas Stanley Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034, honoring Jessica’s deep love for her faith and community.
Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, embraced by the love of the Lord and reunited with those who went before her. Jessica, your love, your laughter, and your light will never be forgotten.

I met Jessica a few years ago in a church group. I remember thinking she was reserved but friendly, and her purple hair was really cool! I quickly learned that she was NOT shy; she was in fact "loud" and a lot of fun! Her smile radiated wherever she went. She loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know Him. She had JOY that did not make sense, considering her diagnosis. I was unaware of her illness until after we hiked 8 miles at Crowders Mountain (in the wrong direction). She knew she had limited time on earth and wanted to enjoy every moment. And we did just that....we went to concerts, comedy shows, tried new restaurants and Starbucks drinks, went to the Clover Bingo and almost won every time, played board games and watched Netflix, volunteered helping the homeless (she even gave someone shoes off her own feet), church on Sundays, we even got matching tattoos. We helped each other get through the hard times and embraced the good ones together. God knew I needed her as much as she needed me. I am thankful for our friendship and will forever remember her strength and beautiful spirit. Rest in peace, my friend. We will meet again.
My dear, beautiful friend. My heart hurts but I will never forget how you changed my opinions on Chai lattes, our field trips to Martha Rivers, you taking the boys to the library returning with more books than you could carry, and our pajama chats. I look forward to watching your boys grow up on Earth while you watch from above. I'll see you on the other side💗💗💗
What a joy Jessica was to everyone around her. Her smile lite up the room. Debbie and I enjoyed having her im our Youth Group. We use to sing u "River of Life" using sign language. She was by far the most animated person in our group. Tears came to my eyes when heard of her passing.
Much love and prayers to her husband, children, family and friends. Obviously a great lost to all.

I am so sorry to hear of Jessica's passing. Although I have not seen her in a long time I still remember childhood memories of Jessica when she was little. She was a funny and great person always with a smile on her face. I hope she is resting easy now with her mom.
