Mr. Johnie Matthews, 88, of Laurel Wood Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina was born January 8, 1932 in Chester County, South Carolina and departed this life Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Eugene and Carrie Smalls Matthews.
