Obituary For Leon Barnett, Sr.
Leon Barnett, Sr., 72, passed away peacefully August 1, 2021 at Robin Johnson Hospice House, in Dallas, North Carolina.
Leon was born September 16, 1948 to Parnell B. Gwinn and the late Isaiah Adams.
Leon was educated by Gaston County Schools. He was a graduate of Highland High School.
In addition to his father, Leon is preceded in death by a son, Toby Woody; two brothers, Bobby Gwinn, and Sam Hill.
Left to cherish memories of Leon are his mother: Parnell B. Gwinn of Gastonia, North Carolina; three daughters, Anita Ann Williams, Chastity Barnett, Leontranette Harper Lipscomb all of Gastonia, North Carolina, four sons, Jeffery Williams, Leon Barnett, Jr., Sean Woody, Antonio Woody all of Gastonia, North Carolina; three sisters, Jean Brown of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Deborah Gwinn, Janie Barnett of Gastonia, North Carolina, one brother, William Gwinn of Gastonia, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Leon Barnett, Sr., 72, passed away peacefully August 1, 2021 at Robin Johnson Hospice House, in Dallas, North Carolina.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
PLACE: Costner Funeral Home Chapel 2425 West Franklin Blvd. Gastonia, North Carolina
DATE & TIME: Saturday, August 7, 2021 AT: 1:00 P.M.
VISITATION: Saturday from 12:30 P.M. until 1:00 P.M.
BURIAL: Armstrong Cemetery Osceola Avenue Gastonia, North Carolina
Public viewing will be at the funeral home Friday, August 6, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 p.m.
