Mr. Richard Anthony Jeffries, Sr., 73, was born December 6, 1946 in Gaston County, North Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the son of Elizabeth Marion Jeffries -Forney and the late John Boyce Jeffries, Jr. Richard was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Stanley, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Bessemer City, North Carolina. Richard was a Truck Driver for Burlington Industries for over 20 years. He was a avid Wrestling, Football, and Basketball fan.

Richard memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of his children; Marcus A. Kee of Stanley, North Carolina, Angela R. Jeffries of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Richard A. Jeffries, Jr. (Doris Jeffries) of Homestead, Florida, his siblings; William A. Jeffries, Felicia A. Jeffries, Sharron L. Jeffries, five grandchildren; Shaakira R. Gill of Baltimore, Maryland, Tralyn Burris of Charlotte, North Carolina, Asha I. Parks of Charlotte, North Carolina, Cheyenne Kee of Monroe, North Carolina, Genesis L. Jeffries of Homestead, Florida, one great-grandson; Dior A. Walker, four nieces, three nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at a later date in the Springfield Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Stanley, North Carolina

Public viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
