Robert Bernard Young

I was a friend of Bernard (his preferred name at the time) when we were very young teenagers. I remember him as a vigorous and tenacious high school basketball player and a kind person. I also went to high school with his first wife Carol and had known her for years before I met Bernard and before they met each other. I last saw the two of them at a Cleveland High School reunion about 13 or so years ago. No one there knew Carol was ill at the time and I learned she passed away the following year. I'm so sorry to hear of his untimely death and offer my heart felt condolences to his wife Rosemary, his children and grands. L.Fowler, Ellenwood, GA.

Shocked and saddened to hear about the death of my classmate, Bernard. We were raised in Cherryville and attended and graduated from Cherryville Sr. High School. Upon graduation we both continued our education at North Carolina Central University (NCCU). Condolences to the family for the loss of your love one.
