Rudolph Tyrone Philson was born November 6, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan to Rudolph S. Philson and the late Louise Simpson Mackins.
Rudolph Tyrone accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Green Pond Methodist Church.
He graduated from Clover High School in 1984. After graduation he made a powerful decision to serve his country and joined the Army National Guard where he dedicated 16 years of his life until he was medically discharged. Tyrone loved history and proudly served his country where he was able to become a memorable part of American history.
Rudolph Tyrone was a very hard working man and dedicated employee at Carolina Processing for almost 30 years.
Rudolph Tyrone had a passion for people and for life! He was a kind and caring man who was beloved by many. A proud father of four children, and wife Andrea Philson (mother of 3). Rudolph Tyrone was a loving son and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching sports (especially The Raiders and University of Michigan GO BLUE!), movies and most of all showing off his cooking skills.
Rudolph Tyrone was a loving, handsome, passionate, family man who has been called home to the special place God has prepared for him. Our beloved Rudolph Tyrone entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.
We are all so grateful to have known him.

Philson Jr., Trey Philson, Diamond Philson; grandchildren Jynia Philson, Trent Philson; sisters Celeste Philson Cunningham (Eric Cunningham), Keri Philson, Naomi Marbry, Lauren Philson; brother Carlos Philson (Rose); aunts Eva Simpson (Special Aunt), Dorothy Simpson Hurt (James), Rosa Simpson Taylor (George), Valerie Simpson; special cousin Cedric Simpson (T-Bone)
